Please join our winemaker, Shane Howard, for a side by side tasting of our 2005-2008 Melvado. Our barrel room will be transformed into a dining room complete with linens and silver for this seated affair. Shane will walk you through the tasting, sharing his knowledge and opinion about what makes each of these Bordeaux blends so unique. A small plate menu will also be paired with the wines.
Seating is limited to 30 guests so don't delay, make your reservations today.

Welcome to Pondera Winery
Pondera Winery is a family owned, boutique winery located in the artisan winery district of Woodinville. Wine maker, Shane Howard, has been making wine since 2003 and the winery was officially launched with the Pondera brand in early 2005. The winery specializes in the production of high quality, well balanced red varietals and Bordeaux style blends. Our grapes are sourced from six outstanding vineyards covering three different AVA’s of Washington state. Each wine is very limited and our entire production is currently less than 1200 cases annually.
Our on site tasting room features a constantly rotating exhibit of fine art curated by Howard/Mandville Gallery. The gallery is located in downtown Kirkland and is owned by Dan and Pat Howard, who are also partners in the winery. The works shown are all by leading Northwest or nationally known artists and are available for purchase.
